Membership Information
Why Join the Austin Area Kappas?
“I do solemnly promise that I will ever be a true and faithful member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.”
We made this pledge at our initiation, and we repeat the oath at every board meeting and official Kappa meeting to remind ourselves that the bonds of sisterhood do not end at the conclusion of our college years. Here’s the good news: our college days are over and, as alumnae, we can enjoy the lasting benefits of sisterhood and service.

Volunteer & Give Back
Membership in Austin Area Kappas offers meaningful ways to stay involved with Kappa and give back to our community. Members have opportunities to support our local collegiate chapters—Beta Xi at the University of Texas at Austin and Epsilon Rho at Texas A&M University—by volunteering during Recruitment, Bid Day and Initiation. We also advance Kappa’s broader philanthropic focus on mental health and well-being through our support of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), while continuing to give back to other nonprofit organizations making an impact across the Austin community.
